Don't you love the holidays?

Quote of the day: No one gossips about other people's secret virtues.
-Bertrand Russell
I'm leaving tomorrow for Heaven. (Well, not Heaven exactly I'm not dead, what I mean is that I going to my happy and worry-free place.) Hallelujah! It's good to be away from Singapore once in a while, away from homework and exams and everything else. This is what freedom really taste like. Sweet, pure, vivid, yummy. Not that I can do anything I want when I'm in China/Korea/Hong Kong(Yes, I'm going to that many places!) and I seriously doubt my parents will let me act crazy or anything, but I don't think they would want this holiday to suck for me either. Would they? I'm listening to the twilight soundtrack, Flightless Bird , American Mouth by Iron & Wine and switching between this song and Linkin Park's Leave out all the rest and A thousand miles by Vanessa Something.(Sorry, I forget her last name, anyway, it's the song from White Chicks.) I know, I opened 4 different tabs. The first one is for blogger-this-and the rest are the songs. I added an iPod to my blog-scroll way down-in it are all my songs. I have 21 songs there, so you can click on the homepage button on the iPod to see all the other songs or just use the fast-forward button(I prefer this way, trust me, really.) You can get this from:
http://www.mixpod.com, it's really good and you can install in on AIM, Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and a lot more.

I'm Nocturnal. Help.

Quote of the day: If the facts don't fit the theory, change the facts.
-Albert Einstein
I know, it's 11.45p.m. And I know, it's late and normally, I should be sleeping like a log now. But it's the holidays! Plus I can't sleep, and I really rather type then watch TV. Which has nothing on now, accept for old Taiwanese drama series. So I am blogging, and listening to Katy Perry's Fingerprint. My current favourite song is this song. Especially the chorus part. The past where she sings, "It's my life, and I'm not sitting on the sidelines watching it pass me by." This line really touched me, mainly because of how it reflects on how we should work hard while we're still young instead of wasting our time and regretting the past when we older. To speak the truth, I've got the idea of this post from Alyson Stoner's latest update. (I left a link at the bottom of this post in case this you don't know about her blog.) I know, I know, this is not what the song really means, but then again each and every song has a different meaning to us. It might be an inspiration, a motivation or just simply a song you enjoy! Anyway, you should really check out the full song. (I'll put this link with the Alyson Stoner one.) It's with lyrics so you don't have to worry. I'm watching Katekyo Hitman Reborn which is my all-time favourite anime series. I'm still waiting for the second series to come out. (Which means I'm still watching the first series now.) I love the all the characters especially Reborn who is this baby Mafia killer send by the Mafia boss to train a kid in Japan to become the next generation. (I know, that sounds SO creepy when I typed it.)

Food Recommendations: Homemade Recipes

Quote of the day: Compassion will cure more sins then condemnation.
-Henry Ward Beecher
Homemade Recipes always seems most comforting to me. There are a few in particular I often make myself. (Which often end in failure.) These recipes are simple, fast and easy to make. Which is what I crave often, nothing fancy. Okay, I'll cut the crap now. Enjoy.
1.) Orange French Toast
A small carton of orange juice
3 White Bread (or any bread you prefer)
2-3 eggs (depending on how many bread you use, about a 3:2 ratio)
a) Mix the orange juice with the eggs. Whisk well.
b) Dip the bread into the egg and juice mixture. Coat each side evenly.
c) Heat up a pan and pour in any oil of you choice. (Personally, I prefer olive oil. It's healthier and a better option from normal cooking oil which make the French Toast greasy.)
d) Serve with a cup of orange juice. (Optional)
2) Apricot Tart
2-3 apricot, sliced
2 egg yolks
1 cup of heavy cream
3/4 cup of sugar
1 1/2 cup of plain flour
1/4 cup of chopped hazelnut(or any nutty toppings you like)
a) Preheat a oven to 350 degrees.
b) Peel the apricots and arrange in the bottom of a blind-baked tart shell.
c) Combine cream, egg yolk, sugar and flour.
d) Pour the mixture over the apricot and sprinkle the hazelnuts over.
e) Bake in a preheated oven for 35 minutes.
3) Good 'Ol Chocolate Chip cookies
1/2 cup of butter
1 beaten egg
1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 1/8 cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon of salt
1/4 teaspoon of baking soda
1 1/4 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips
a) Preheated the oven to 350 degrees.
b) Cream the butter and sugar. (aka Mix the butter and sugar and whisk till almost cream-like)
c) Add the beaten egg and vanilla essence. Whisk together.
d) Mix the flour, salt and baking powder and sift.
e) Add in the cream mixture to the powder and mix thoroughly before adding chocolate chips.
d) Now, you can design the cookies on your own. Either drop it by the spoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheets or add a bit more flour(make it a bit harder), roll the batter out and use cookie cutters to shape the cookies. Bake for 7-10 minutes or till the edges become a light golden brown.
e) These cookies are great as presents or as treats for yourself. Since Christmas is coming, why not wrap them up and give them to your loved ones!
(I've got the cookie recipe from http://www.easy-cookies.com, I made a little change to the ending. Hope you don't mind. Anyway, this website provides good and easy recipes for you.)
Bon Appetite!

Movie Review: The Twilight Saga: New Moon

Quote of the day: You can avoid reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of reality.
-Ayn Rand
Just to tell you first, I got the H1N1 jab today, so if I have any misspelling, please be understanding. Okay, I know it's kinda late, but I really wanted to do this review while the image of the movie is still fresh in my mind. But just in case I've got any mistakes, I'm checking the plot on wikipedia. Before I get on with the actual review, I just wanna say that there are a few posts coming up, one on my trip to Batam, a few Food Recommendations and the last one on another movie review.
SPOILER ALERT!!!! (If you haven't watch the film yet, you might want to skip to the personal comment part."
Main Plot
The movie started with Bella having a dream, a nightmare actually, of her seeing her "grandma". She was standing next to Edward and wanted to introduce him to her when she found out that the old wrinkled woman she was seeing wasn't her grandma at all, but a mirror image of herself. Bella woke up, startled. Coincidentally, it was her 18th birthday. Her fear of being older than Edward came true. Edward's adoptive family throws her a birthday party(much to Bella's agony)but the party made a direful change when Alice hands her a gift and while unwrapping the gift, Bella got a paper cut, which sets off Jasper's vampire intuits and attempting to kill her. Realizing the "danger" he and his family posed to Bella, he decided to leave her, thinking it was in her best interest. They had a talk in the woods and Edward told Bella not to do anything reckless, then leaving her. Bella was depressed and upset for months, having nightmares that leaves her screaming in the middle of the night and waking up a worried Charlie to her side. Charlie, seeing things going from bad to worst, decides to send Bella back to Jacksonville to live with her mother. However, Bella refuses and agrees to spend more time with her friends. After watching a movie with Jessica, she encounters a group of men who remind her of her days with Edward, she approachs them slowly and was surprised to see a vision of Edward warning her not to go near them. Bella soon dicovers that trill seeking activites grant her wishes of seeing Edward. Slowly, she began to deepen her friendship with Jacob Black, a werewolf. Many incidents occur including Jacob fixing a bike for her, going out to a movie with Jake and Mike and crashing a bike that lead to Jacob's crush on her. Then a series of miscommunications lead Edward to believe that Bella is dead and he wishes to die too, thus he tried provoke the Volturi, a powerful group off ancient vampires who are capable of killing him by exposinghimself to the sunlight. Alice arrived at Bella's house in time to tell her all this and they rush off to Italy where Bella prevented tragedy from happening. However thee Volturi, seeing that Bella is a mortal yet knows so much about them, decides to kill her. Alice then shows them a vision of Bella as an immortal and promised to change her personally. The Cullens then vote for Bella to become a vampire, much to Edward and Jacob's dismay. Jacob reminded Edward of an old treaty that the Cullen's made with the werewolves: they will not fight, but only if the Cullens don't bite a human. The movie ended with Edward asking Bella to marry him.
Personal Comment
I really don't know how to judge this film basically cause I myself is a fanof twilight. So I will stand on a normal person's view(hopefully) and rate this film. First, the bad points. It's a bit boring, if you're a die hard twilight fan, it's okay. But if you're not, be careful of dozing asleep at the start. The good points are that I really have to praise Chris Weitz for the ending. Bella never answered Edward, which leaves us high and dry and will so watch Eclipse. I know this cause when the film, ended a low moan ran thoughout the theater and a "WHAT!!! HOW CAN END LIKE THAT?". Good work Chris.
I give this film a 7.5 out of 10

Food Recommendations: Mark & Spencer

Quote of the day: A person starts to live when he can live outside himself.
-Albert Einstein

If you happen to stop by at a local Mark & Spencer store, then you simply cannot miss these amazing cookies. They come in a few flavours: Cranberry and Orange, Blueberry and Oats, Pistachio and Almonds, Chocolate and Fruity Flapjack(It's just apricots and sultanas!). I favourite cookie is the Cranberry and Orange one. It's soft, crumbly and chewy with huge chunks of cranberries and hints of oranges. The blueberry one has blueberry pieces in it with the rich texture of oats and fragrance. I haven't tried the Pistachio and Almond one yet, but I think it's pretty good! Although the chocolate cookie is a little too sweet for my liking, it has a deep chocolaty fragrance and is perfect over a cup of hot tea and a good book.

Food Recommendations: ION

Quote of the day: Anyone who has never made a mistake has never tried anything new.
-Albert Einstein
I only been to ION once, but I know the food there is pretty good-and expensive-here are my top picks(I never really tried them, but they look quite good on the Internet, give me feedback if you have tried these food.) :
1) Taste Paradise on the 4th floor of ION-original outlet in Mosque St. Chinatown has great-modern Cantonese food. (And great fried carrot cake!!)
2) Canton-i on the 3rd floor of ION-this is the latest outlet from a very popular Hong Kong-Malaysian restaurant chain. They have at least a dozen outlets in KL and Penang under the Dragon-i(Shanghainese cuisine) and Canton-i(Cantonese cuisine) branding, but I suppose this is their first Singapore outlet.
3) The B4 food court is a treasure chest. Here are some:
Arinco King, bakery from Japan offering super moist, soft Swiss rolls filled with fresh creme. They come in 3 flavours- Salty Caramel, Matcha green tea and Vanilla. Don't miss the salty caramel one! (Special recommendation!)
R Burger-steamed mantou, with fresh beef patty, avocado and cheese. Interesting, although you'll have to have patients, the service is a bit slow.
This is about it, if you what to know more good restaurants visit this website:

Quote of the day: Imagination is more important than knowledge.
-Albert Einstein
I'm gonna start a series of Albert Einstein quotes,so the next few post will most likely contain his quotes. Just a quick post before my battery runs out. I've been on Facebook for a while now and it is really so much better than twitter(no offence). Now,I'm taking a quiz. I told you I could do 2 things at once, haha!! This quiz is "Which celebrity shares you're birthday(to be precise, birth month actually.)?'. And the results are.... Jamie Lynn Spears-April 24th 1991, Emma Watson-April 15th 1990,Kelly Clarkson-April 24th 1982 and Jessica Alba-April 28th 1981. I sort of left out a few cause I seriously don't know who they are. I took this quiz: "What is the theme song of your life'' or something and the answer is "Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield. You might remember it from the dove commercials. Currently listening to "Lady Marmalade" by Christina Aguilera.
It kinda started in French or something foreign.
I have to go,see you guys later!

Gossip Girls-Blake Lively

Quote of the day: Who finds a faithful friend, finds a treasure.
- Jewish Saying
Have I said that Blake Lively is my favourite actress? There are 2 main reasons; 1) She's pretty, duh. 2) I really like her when she is acting Serena van der Woodsen in Gossip Girl. I also really liked her when she's in The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 1 and 2. Anyway, there's a website/blog I've been totally addicted to. If you're a guy,you probably wouldn't get my excitement, but if you're a female, you're like this website. Each post is written by a different author(some authors write more than 1 post) and is really cool. I particularly like the heading. (You're see why!) This is the address: http://www.allwomenstalk.com I'm watching "The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl". It's a pretty old film, considering 2 points. 1) I could remember going to the cinemas with my dad, holding a 3D glasses(I still have them!!). 2) The kid acting as Sharkboy is ... TAYLOR LAUTNER! And Taylor's 19 now,and I suppose his's 12-15 then.
I'm going on Facebook now,see you're later!

VMA-Taylor Swift,Kanya West,Cobra Starship and more!!

Quote of the day: Not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted.
-Albert Einstein
If you haven't watched the VMA award, watch it NOW!! The hottest MTV celebrities are all there. Katy Perry,Kanya West,Beyonce,Taylor Swift,Cobra Starship etc... What was frustrating was that Kanya West had to ruin Taylor Swift's moment when she was up there receiving the award for "Best Video of The Year" or something. Then Kanya came up and said that Beyonce deserved the award better. After that,Taylor was just awkwardly standing there, unsure of what to say. I mean,he could have expressed his feelings to her backstage or talk to the judges or something. Not to mention that Beyonce was embarrassed as well. I heard that when Beyonce received her award, she said something about giving the moment to Taylor to let her have her moment. Not just me,loads of youtubers felt angry with Kanya for this. Now I am listening to "Ain't No Sunshine"by Kris Allen and after this song,it's "Good Girls Gone Bad"by Cobra Starship featuring Leighton Meester whom you may remember from "Gossip Girls" as Blair Waldorf. Rich, beautiful she is the queen bee, replacing Serena van der Woodsen(her best friend who left for boarding school but came back later).Who in the TV version is played by Blake Lively, who is one of my favourite female artistes.
Think I'm gonna buy the book...Hmmm

Singapore Flyer :)

Quote of the day: The future depends on what we do in the present
-Mahatma Gandhi
Today I went to Little India for breakfast/lunch(or "brunch" as my father would call that time of the day)with my dad,my grandma,my grandaunt and my other 2 aunts(who came on their own and joined us). So after a hearty "brunch",me,dad and my grandaunt took my dad's car and the others took my aunt's car. My dad and aunt(let's just call her that,I'm lazy to type)talk about renovation or something,I didn't care to pay attention to their conversation. I started out reading my book(Songs of The Humpback Whales by Jodi Picoult-who is my all time favourite author!)which I stored in the car for boring trips like this one. Anyway, after reading for a while,I decided to take a break. That time, the car was going up the highway(I think)/bridge or something, and to my left, was the Singapore Flyer !!! It was sooo close,it felt as if I could touch it with my index finger! I looked around and found that we were in the commercial area of Singapore(I think, serves me right for not paying attention during social studies..) The feeling was really amazing, other than the god damn construction sites blocking the view,it was impeccable!!
AMAZING. I know I sound stupid and I'm making a bug deal out of it,but if you are in my shoes. I have NEVER been on the flyer(not to mention being this close to it)and I don't think I ever will because of my....(refer to the post on ION,which I forget the name.)scared of heights..

Let's NOT do it(then again.....)

Quote of the day: Most of the time, life is unfair to you and those around you. So accept it.
-Me
I know it been-what, weeks?-before my last post. I am sooo sorry,it's been a very busy week. First,my dad came back. And,I'm suppose to do the 'News of the week' thingy.(Sigh..) I am considering do it later(my next post, which would be a 100 years later). But,I decided not. So this week's news (took me a while to get the latest news):
Teen medium led suicide
A home-trained, self-professed Taoist medium,all of 16 years old,convinced 6 teenagers,including his brother,to enter a suicide pact.
The court heard that the group had planned to hold hands and leap from the 13th floor of the block in which Witaya lived, but the entrance to the rooftop being locked, the group ended up in his bedroom.
Scary,I know. You would have to read the whole report on yesterday's newspaper. If you wanna see this report,go to:
http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNews/Singapore/Story/STIStory_426830.html?vgnmr=1
There seems to be another report on this today,so go check it out if you're interested. Currently listening to 'Thunder' by Boys Like Girls. Next on the list is 'Gives you Hell' by All American Rejects. Then it is 'Wind(I think that's the title???)' by Boys Like Girls.Again.
Haha!!

ERRORS AND CHANGES

OK,first of all I wanna make a few changes to what I wrote in the previous post. (I didn't edit cause I'm just plain lazy and I've already edited twice and I'm gonna blow if I have to edit once more.) Um,so tomorrow is teachers' day,not today. So I should change it to an early teacher's day greeting. There was this video I saw on YouTube,OK not video, videos. Anyway the video is super funny and go to this website if you wanna see for yourself: http://www.youtube.com/fred. It is about a 6 year old kid called Fred. He lives with his mum who is an addict(his dad is in jail)and works as a prostitute to support the family. Fred has a crush on a pretty girl called Judy. Judy dislikes Fred and thinks he is weird. She often teams up with Kevin(a fat boy Judy is dating)to bully Fred.
Check out all the videos!(Also check out the teen choice award if you haven't watched it! It is fabulous!Twilight totally ruled it!)
Ya,I guess that it. Talk to to you soon!

Happy Teachers' Day to all!

Quote of the day: The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.
-Mahatma Gandhi
You all schooling kids out there should know that today is teacher's day. I'll tell you 'bout my day.So here goes:
I woke up at 6a.m(as per normal),brushed my teeth, washed my face and all that crap. I'm not gonna go on blabbering here. So I reached school about 6.45 and assembled in hall. It's pretty much a normal day exp. for the fact that I am carrying a small bag(I'll tell you what's in it later)and our teacher received about 2 bags of presents. I gave a bookmark I made during art on Friday. (Art class was torturing, cause my friends are.....you know....) I also brought 2 cards(I am too lazy and clumsy to make a card personally, but still,it's the thought that counts.) for my Chinese teachers.(Last year and this year.) God,whats wrong with me,I'm using so many brackets! Hahaha! Anyway,at 11.20pm,we were sent off for the concert! Starting off with a boring prayer(no offence to catholics, but it is kinda boring. He he..)followed by an equally boring teacher's pledge and teacher's day letter.(Read by Principle) Then, finally, the real concert. Started off with a dance,"Jai Ho" from "Slumdog Millionaire" was the theme song. It was OK. Then came the scary part. Singing. To speak the truth, none of the singers were really good,I mean I'm in no position to criticize them but seriously, guys, buck up. Even the teachers were covering their ears! But I would have to praise them for their bravery,I would have fainted if it was me.(I'm stage fright,it one of my biggest weakness, along with scared of height.) The highlights were probably the dance by RL(I can't mention her real name..) and the prefects dance. RL's dance received most 'oohs' and claps. She was good,in a I-am-not-a-pro kinda way. The prefect dance was hilarious, dancing to Wonder Girl's "Nobody" they were....(Word cannot seem to describe their dance,I could lie and say"Oh,it was fantastic!"but I couldn't and wouldn't.) stiff??? Sorry,it was the first word that came to my mind. Oh ya I almost forgot, the 3 hosts were hilarious as well. Cracking jokes that made us laugh(at least most of the jokes...)I reckon that my bag(nike black bag with white stripes on one side)would be pretty light, but it was not. While unpacking it,I found out how much junk I had inside! This is a list of items:
Book(Lethal Seduction by Jackie Collins)
Vocabulary Book for class,
Dictionary,
Nike blackish,purple-ish water bottle,
Wallet,
iPod touch plus headphone,
birthday bear(bought in Genting) The picture is above.(My birthday bear is green)
teacher's day gift and a packet of opened sour skittles(breakfast)
Look at the junk here! Also, this is the best picture of the birthday bear I can get. Just imagine it as green and you get my birthday bear. This is my cousin's bear. Each month has a different colour, like April's colour is green and December's colour is red.
HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY TO ALL TEACHERS(and students, happy holidays!)

News of the week!

Quote of the day: Confidence is the companion of success.
-Unknown Author
In addition to the 'Quote of the the day' thingy,I am starting a 'News of the week'. But unfortunately,my grandma doesn't really bother to buy the English papers when my dad's not here cause she thinks only my dad reads the papers. Whatever. There is such a thing called Internet, you know. So I went to 'Straits Times.com' to read the news. Guess what, yesterday was Micheal Jackson's(RIP) birthday! This is an extraction: New York- FANS around the world marked what would have been the 51st birthday of late pop icon Michael Jackson as thousands braved rain in New York for a party organized by filmmaker Spike Lee. They were afraid that the rain would chase away the fans, but as the skies cleared away, around 7,000 to 10,000 people turned up. If you wanna read the full report go to: http://www.straitstimes.com/Breaking%2BNews/Lifestyle/Story/STIStory_423212.html
Amazing,I know. I was fascinated,so I looked up his bio. Check this out: Twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, his other achievements feature multiple Guinness World Records- including "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"-13 Grammy Awards,17 number one singles(including the 4 as a member of the Jackson 5),and estimated sales between 350 million and 750 million records worldwide. Even more amazing right! And listen to this, his net worth(in 2007) is an astonishing 236 million US!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!
OMG! Sorry for my little 'exposion' here. I mean,236 million? That is like, the dream you know!
OK,I'm gonna eat breakfast now,bye!

-Albert Einstein

I'm not gonna reveal more, you have to check her blog out for yourself. Also,I'm using my small computer this time round instead of the more commonly used HP computer. (This computer's brand is acer.) English rockz, science sucks!

Quote of the day: Keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars.
-Casey Kasem
Alrighty,I've got the results for my CA2 exam...(Drumroll..)
English: 46/50, Maths:88/100, Chinese 47.5/50, Science: Unknown/80. I just had my Science exam so hopefully it will be in my hands tomorrow! For your information,I am studing at the best class for chinese and today, our teacher asked us a really weird question: Do any one of you want to change to a different class? I mean,we're in the best class for chinese, who would-stupidly-want to change class? I'm proven wrong. 2,not 1 hands went up. Of course we thought that they were just kidding. But they were not. Our teacher said next term, she would be giving us more and more work to do. But she is afraid that some of us might not be able to cope up. I really don't want student A and B to leave! (I'm using A and B because I don't want to get sued for whatever reasons,I'm not a lawyer yet!)
So,um,bye!

CA2,a disaster or a blessing in disguise?

Quote of the day: When you believe a thing, believe in it all the way.
-Walt Disney
Yes,I know. Today's quote is from Walt Disney, but I actually think its kind of true. When you believe in a thing, believe in it all the way. WOW! OK,so today is the maths CA2 and I'm not really that worried cause I checked a few difficult questions with my friends and I got them correct! Yesterday's English exam was really easy so I didn't bother to check. So I am suppose to be revising for Chinese, but I couldn't care less. I mean I don't revise for any subject except Science(I suck in science!) and like any other parent,my dad nags at me. But lucky for me,he gone oversea and my grandma has no idea what I'm doing. I can just tell her that this(blogging) is just an exercise I have to do online. Ha ha! I am trying now to stay adding pictures to my blog as you can see,the last post had a picture. School is OK,maybe you haven't notice but even there is a good thing about exams. We have less homework. Meaning we will have more free time, but this will be taken away anyway. (Parents! Nagging at you to revise is a huge moot point!) I am playing with my iPod,a game called 'Who Has The Biggest Brain'. You can connect it to Facebook, but I don't have an account... Anyway I an now a 'scholar' which is totally cool. OK,I'm gonna play now! Bye,have a good exam week!

For fun one la...

I decided not to do the quote of the day thing cause I've updated the blog like a few hours ago. This is just for fun-cause I'm bored. OK,I am a totally huge fan of twilight and I read all 4 books and watched the movie twice. And like all other fans,I can't wait for New Moon(the movie) to come out. Would November please come faster...So this is the twilight poster.
Will update tomorrow on exams!

New findings!!

Quote of the day:Remember this-very little is needed to make a happy life.
-Marcus Aurelius
So I have tons of stuff to update. The first thing,I went to ION. Yep,it was HUGE! Me and my dad were like lost. We were on the fourth level-or so we thought-when we found out it was only B1!!! There was 8 levels,a shoppers paradises. Gucci,Prada,Louis Vuittion.... My mom will dig this place. Though it'll be hell for my dad. It's like placing a bomb in his pocket. The food-god-was SO expensive! A packet of curry rice was like $5.95! A PACKET!! But of course the food is great, better than most normal food courts at least. OK,confession time. If you have been to ION,you'll know that there are super long and super scary escalators. I was kinda afraid cause I am scared of height. Not the type that will cry when taking a cable car,I'm not like that. I'm just afraid of 'opposing gravity' I call it. The second thing is I went to Genting on the day of national day. Super long drive,6 hours. I survived by listening to my iPod,reading, doing homework.. I don't really have much to say about the trip cause I got sick when we were there. Fever, really high fever,39.5 degrees I think. Plus the fact that genting is for adults to gamble and and I am a long way before I'm 21. So my uncle, aunt and cousin went shopping together while my dad, grandma, another uncle and grandaunt went gambling. Third thing, check out this blog:
http://alysonstoner.com. Alyson Stoner's blog. Her blog is just simply fab.The design was feminine, yet has a certain thing I really can't describe. You will have to check it out for yourself. Her text, was .... deep. Especially the post on Micheal Jackson's death(RIP) and how shocked she was. I kind of fascinated by her so I went to google her bio and guess wht,she is an amaxing dancer. By some kind of weird karma,I found out she had a YouTube channel. So, if you have the time,go check out both.(I know the exams are coming,so you can do that after the exams.)
OK,see you soon!

Nothing to Do....

Quote of the day: Kind words can be short and easy to speak, but their echos are truly endless.
-Mother Theresa
I kind of lost my quote book,so this one is copied from my Helpmate. My dad's back,so its good,I guess.... I going crazy now cause I lost my quote book and I am SO worried now. Forget it,I lost it means I lost it. Can't do anything 'bout it... School is OK,I just printed my essay on 'Good Hygiene Practices' for health ed, 3 pages! My dad threatened to throw my headphone away yesterday when I was surfing the net and listening to YouTube, cause he called me like 10 times and I didn't reply. So,I gonna bath now, hopefully will update the blog soon...
Bye!!

When dads are away, the child plays!

Quote of the day:Start with what is right, rather then what is acceptable.
-Peter F. Drunker
My dad is away,so I'm pretty much free till this Saturday-when he is coming back.He left this morning while I went to school. That is the only reason why I am updating my blog now.Cause I just updated my blog yesterday and I don't usually do this.Today is Racial Harmony Day-obviously,just check the date-and because of that stupid H1N1(No offence OK,no one like virus!)we can't go to the hall and watch performances like we did when it was International Friendship Day.But then again,if we went to the hall,it will be SO hot with P3-6 sitting there.Plus I might be sitting behind so I can't see nothing..We had lesson till 12pm and we started with a video clip 'bout racial harmony and all that stuff...Then we had to design a racial harmony dress/shirt/pants,etc..(Just any thing related to clothes!)I am NOT good in drawing on anything related to it.(Except sketching,I OK at that!)And there are also the total artistes...I'm not gonna mention names.I have a question for everyone,if you could choose to be born in another country other than Singapore(Or Singapore,if you want.),which would it be? Just leave a comment and tell me 'bout it.You know my choice?I would choose either the UK or the US.Preferred choice,US.I know you're gonna say"There is recession, there is H1N1..."You know I don't care.Recession is none of my business,I'm only a student-unless I'm interested in it,which I'm NOT-and H1N1 doesn't bother me.I don't think I'm that unlucky, just be hygienic and all. US-to me-is really cool.Hollywood,Oscar,prom,everything.It's my dream destination!! I think the best part would be high school, you get to learn everything.(By everything,I mean Spanish and other languages only).I remember asking my dad"Is there prom in Singapore?" and he said 'no'.I know you're gonna think I'm sick or something, but I'm not.I really kind of like prom-do NOT ask me why,I'm too embarrassed to tell-every part of it.If you know what I saying....Also check the new polls! My answer is 16,17 or 18.Any age above 15 but below 19 would suit me fine. I really HATE being a kid and being treated like a kid.I told myself when I'm 18,I will move out,go to college(My dream college is Harvard law school-I know,it's my dad,he has HIGH expectations!) in Boston,US and get a dorm where I can stay. I will be really free then.Sure, I'll miss my parents and all but life there is gonna be great! I just know it...So,I'm gonna study hard and get there!(I know it sounds old fashion...1 more thing,my dad says when you go overseas for studies,it is either your results are too good for a Singapore school so you'll be sent to somewhere(Hope it's the US!)to study or either your results are so poor they can't even fit you in.
So,wish me luck it's for the better!

River flows in you

Quote of the day: Everything that is really great and inspiring is created by the individual who can labour in freedom
-Albert Einstein
River flows in you is a song,OK... I found out about this song when I was at my piano teacher's house and she was playing this piece while I was doing theory.I am listening to it now-yes,I have trained myself to do 2 things at 1 time,in this case, its blogging & listening to music-on youtube. This is the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQME-ChSwNM. If you play the piano, hopefully you will like it. But in case you don't,and you're not too keen on this kind of music, then skip it.This is like, the 13rd time listening to it,and I'm still not bored! If you read the comment,most-I say MOST,so don't come crying if some comments are mean-are good ones.A.K.A commenting about how good the song is.I have CCA today. Yes they have resumed, unfortunately, that is... The supp. classes too, which means I will only be free on Wednesdays,Saturdays and Sundays.Like I said,I have CCA on Monday, supp. classes on Tuesday and Friday and tuition on Thursdays.Yes,I am finally getting busy. The side effects though,is I will have lesser time doing random stuff.(Blogging, reading, browsing youtube..etc)
Today in music,we heard the national day parade(ndp)song. What do you see? I see the computer screen, the light,my cup,me. I feel like a 5years old playing I see, just in a song form. It was OK,I guess. It depends on your personal likings.. This song now is Daughtry,No surprise. Of course,it on youtube. I totally rely on youtube and MTV for my music source now. (Read the last entree to know why..)This is how my system works. 1st,I hear a song on TV from MTV. I take down the singer and the song name. 2nd,I go to my laptop and find the song on youtube.3rd,I check out other songs to see if I really like this singer or just this song,if it's a yes, then I'll find some opportunity that I can tag along with my dad to a CD store and buy the album. So far I only have 2-don't ask me why-Fearless(Taylor Swift),All I ever wanted(Kelly Clarkson) and a few other plain CDs which I won't mention.. OK,I gonna go watch TV. 9p.m blockbuster!!!
Have a nice week!! (Hopefully...)

iPod

Quote of the day: Whatever you want to do,do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.
-Pope Paul VI
More, our teacher apparently,is trying to murder us all. I wish homework didn't existed you know, but that would be pure stupid, maybe it would be better if the person who invented homework didn't existed. (sigh..) I am here, blogging, because I have nothing better to do. I almost finished all my homework, but I am tired beyond your wildest imagination,so I am officially NOT gonna do homework.I don't care if I get scolded or anything, since I'm already in hell, why not make do with it? OK,enough about school I am enjoying myself now cause I set my iPod touch on the play list I want to I can leave it now. The song playing now is "Homecoming" by Hey Monday, I'm blasting my ears off..(I kind of set the volume on 100 and the song is rock,so...I gonna either survive and be deaf for life-if not happily ever after) My dad and I do NOT share the same kind of music liking,he thinks the music I like is for"young people" and is too "loud and lots of screaming" and I-not just me OK,most my age thinks that his songs are way too old. As a matter of fact, the song really are pretty old, some as old as me!! (Maybe older..) Check out the polls ,dateline:13 July 2009 One thing,I didn't get my play list from iTunes,um.. they are from YouTube. Cause as I said,my dads songs are very old and they kind of got "transferred" into my iPod when we were setting up.. My iPod is very young, exactly 2 months and 23 days old. It gonna reach its 3 months old birthday in 16 days. This is my play list:
Numbers are not in special orders.
1) Homecoming-Hey Monday
2) Supermassive Black Hole-Muse
3) Heal The World-Micheal Jackson (RIP)
4) Whyyawannabringmedown-Kelly Clarkson
5) My life would Suck Without you-Kelly Clarkson
6) I do not Hook Up-Kelly Clarkson
7) Love Story-Taylor Swift
8) You Belong with Me-Taylor Swift
9) Forever & Alaways-Taylor Swift
10) Decode-Paramore
11) New Divide-Linkin Park
12) Jenny-The Click Five
OK this is quite a long list, but as you can see,I listen to all types of music ranging from Rock,Country etc.... OK,I am gonna end here, the address will have to wait-sorry-see you soon!
LOL!!!

Everything crashes together!!!!

Quote of the day: A wish person does what a fool does at last. Both do the same thing;only at different times.
-Lord Acton
I've got so much to write.... (Warning: This might be a LONG entree!) Yesterday was my big aunt's birthday.Nothing much exciting though....Just the usual, eat, talk, drink. End of story. Weird thing was,you know usually we have birthday cakes at party or dinners on our birthdays? Well,my aunt didn't.Maybe they've done the cake and everything at home.Hmmm... Yesterday's yesterday-a.k.a the day before yesterday-me and my dad went to watch Ice Age 3:Dawn of the Dinosaurs 3D,it was hilarious. Totally recommended!! One tip though,if you are eating something at the theater with your hands, don't wipe you 3D glasses if you think it's blurry.Just us a tissue or something, cause it will make your glasses even more blurry. Oh,I forgot about something.Yesterday me and my dad went to an open house for semi-detached,its called"Dalla Vale",I know... Our condo is pretty old (I've been living here for almost 10 years now, long enough?) and it seems pretty OK on the newspaper,so we went to check it out. We went to see unit 194 and 210. 194 was my favourite. It consist of 5 storeys-including the basement. The basement has a maid room-which is also pretty big-,a toilet and a spare bedroom. The 2nd storey is the living room and the kitchen. The 3rd storey has the master bedroom-which has its own bathroom and a walk in wardrobe. The bathroom is like slightly smaller then my bedroom!! It also have the kid's bedroom-totally BIG-,a public toilet and a so called "comfy" zone where you can relax. The 4th storey are just 2 HUGE guestroom. The last storey is my absolute favourite, the saleswomen called it a "junior master bedroom". Its just the attic, actually. But the setting was AMAZING,in front of the bed is a glass door and when you open it,you're stepping into a balcony and watching the sun set before your very own eyes! Plus you also have you own bathroom and a HUGE wardrobe. I day dreamt about living here and waking up seeing the sun rise and set before my eyes. Ahhh.... But this dream was broke when I heard the sales women's answer. My dad had asked how much this amazing house cost and the saleswomen-who was new in this company-went to check with her friend. When she returned, she said"2 million plus". I almost fell to the ground,2 MILLION!!!! We are NOT so rich you know!! I tried to ignore my dad as he asked more questions but I had to listen. From what I've heard, the maintenance fee was $495.Guess, a year or a month? Answer: a MONTH !! Lets do some math: 495 multipy by 12= OMG, $5940!! Plus this to the 2 million and you get.... I'm not gonna say.. Did I mention they have a pool and a massage area? So we left and on the car,my dad asked me if the like the house,I said yes. But he thought it was too"crampy". Ya right... But sorry I wasn't able to provide pictures because they said we couldn't take pictures..
So long house..!
P.S If you are intersted-provided that you are rich enough-come and check it out.OK,maybe if you can't afford this(like me)you can still come and see the inner-deco for yourself,it is beautiful
I will provide the info next week, hopefully(or earlier?).

Dreadful homework...

Quote of the day:Everything that is done in the world is done by hope
-Martin Luther
The dreadful homework.... I've got tuition homework incompleted, piano homework, school
work,etc... I'm gonna die of homework someday. Today, we are suppose to write a poem on
fruits. 7 sentences-no kidding-god,we are not poets. What do they want us to write? It included
in our SA2/CA2 (I forget it CA2 or SA2) report book for health education,so its totally IMPORTANT!! I have a hard choice between acoustic poem, haiku or narrative poem. Haiku is
the easy solution of course-if you write haiku,3 sentence will do-but it pretty hard for me to find words that fit. (Haiku needs 7 syllables in the 1st sentence,5 syllables in the 2nd and 7 again in the 3rd) So,maybe narrative poem. But that means I have to write more than 7 sentences and they must ALL rhyme,ok maybe not all,but still. Then it brings the list down to the acoustic poem, you know the kind of poem where you spell the title of the subject you are writing? In my case, the word will be "FRUITS" and then I will add a sentence to make it 7. (Fruits is only 6 letters) So you spell the word horizontally and add a sentence to it. For example (Mother):
M is for the many things she gave me,
O means there is no other,
T is for the tears she cried sometimes,and you know they do the H,E and R and then they say;
Put them altogether and they spell MOTHER,the word that means the world to me.
Ok,maybe I will do this one. What do you think? Help me from the dreadful homework............

Holiday!!

Science Results: 63/80 (I suck at science.....)

OK,for my holidays I went to China with:my dad,my grandma,
my aunt and my grandaunt.
The coolest thing in this 2weeks was probably the speedboat
ride. It was like riding on a "water motorcycle".I had this man instructor teaching me
-and siting behind me while I rode-how to "drive" it,sort of.
And we took off, totally cool!! It was sooooo fast like sitting on a roller coaster
multiply by 10 and it was a half an hour ride. I digged that....totally
The next cool thing is the actual roller coaster ride,or should I say"water roller
coaster ride".
Me,my aunt and my godpa-who is a friend of mum's-ride together. It was about
20feet high and we wore raincoats to prevent from getting wet. It was-just like the
speedboat ride-fast,very fast. It felt as if I would fling out of my seat if not for the help of the seatbelt.
We were all wet-drenched from head to toe-,literally. It took me a day walking in
the sun to get dry. The last exciment was the swinging bridge of doom, literally,it swang.
Me,my mother & my grandaunt were "daring" enough to walk on it. ( Proved to be a HUGE
mistake ) It was a bridge with 2 steel wires covered in the kind on bamboo poles we hang our
clothes on. Super slippery... & I was wearing slippers -anti-slippery - or say the labels said.
I freaked, below me was the very muddy kind of swamp...eww But -thank god- I survived.
Not for the light-hearted.....
