In addition to the 'Quote of the the day' thingy,I am starting a 'News of the week'. But unfortunately,my grandma doesn't really bother to buy the English papers when my dad's not here cause she thinks only my dad reads the papers. Whatever. There is such a thing called Internet,you know. So I went to 'Straits Times.com' to read the news. Guess what,yesterday was Micheal Jackson's(RIP) birthday! This is an extraction: New York- FANS around the world marked what would have been the 51st birthday of late pop icon Michael Jackson as thousands braved rain in New York for a party organized by filmmaker Spike Lee. They were afraid that the rain would chase away the fans,but as the skies cleared away,around 7,000 to 10,000 people turned up. Amazing,I know. I was fascinated,so I looked up his bio. Check this out: Twice inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,his other achievements feature multiple Guinness World Records- including "Most Successful Entertainer of All Time"-13 Grammy Awards,17 number one singles(including the 4 as a member of the Jackson 5),and estimated sales between 350 million and 750 million records worldwide. Even more amazing right! And listen to this,his net worth(in 2007) is an astonishing 236 million US!!!!!! Ahhhhhhhhh!
